SANGAM VIHAR PARAMEDIC PROFESSIONAL TRAINING : A Glimpse
Taking a step further with a strong support from SIDBI (Small Industries Developments Bank of India), we, at Aambra Foundation, commenced our second round of ‘Sashakta’ professional paramedic training at Sangam Vihar on September 1st, 2022.As a precursor to the training, an exhaustive baseline survey was done in order to identify and handpick potential candidates from diverse socio-economic backgrounds for the three-month long exercise.
As part of well-designed training module, initially for 6 weeks Non-Clinical component of the training was covered by our professionally trained and dedicated trainer. With a strong and overarching focus on healthy literacy as well as well-being, the Non-Clinical component also awarded due attention to Digital Literacy, Financial literacy as well as fine tuning English speaking skills of the selected trainees. The interactive session spread through six-hour long session on every single day, also paid due thrust and attention on actively engaging trainees on several extra curriculum activities including sessions reserved for current affairs, painting, art. Further, with health being a strong pillar of the foundation for our course, regular sessions were also arranged for practicing yoga. The sessions not only facilitated in building a stamina and physical temper but also helped trainees in realising the significance of yoga while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
On the completion of the Non-Clinical part of the course, the clinical segment of the course with practical demonstrations at its core were started. As part of the Clinical module, trainees were explained in detail about various critical components of paramedics and care giving including hygiene management, sessions on diseases due to nutritional deficiency, fundamentals of balanced health, communicable and non- diseases with an action plan for the dietary management of disease
Further, to prepare them for on ground challenges in the field of paramedics and caregiving , our well trained trainers conducted several rounds of rigorous practical demonstrations on checking blood pressure, measuring pulse as well as blood oxygen saturation levels with accuracy and utmost perfection.
With the three month long training drawing to an end in the last week of November, rewarding placements were also made with our syndicated efforts in various prestigious hospitals, health start-ups, pharmacies, diagnostic labs as well as care giving ventures.
