Present Conundrum

These are not just random dates and years. On the first look, it might sound like I would narrate something from history. Yes. Unfortunately, I would say say history is repeating itself again. Nirbhaya Gang rape case shook the nation to its wits, the brutality and the gruesomeness turned the faces red and the soil black. The question and faces always turn up to be different here, hearing news like these makes the air feel heavy and harsh, there is a sense of being uncomfortable..
But am I really speaking here for everyone or for who I really am ?
From centuries and decades, to days and bays, we have seen gender discrimination about men and women, one can say it is the most trendy topic in every household, the world has introduced concepts of feminism, neutrality and what not. But the question always rises, with all these new methods and terms of equality, why is there not any significant changes.
I would again trouble you with a some numbers. 87, 32000 and 4,05406.
The 87 denotes the number or rape cases India has every day. 32000 denotes rape cases every year in India and 4,05406 denotes the total number of cases where women had to undergo some type of physical or mental violence and these numbers don’t tend to lower.
Being a man in this Indian society and writing an article about this issue personally would be strange for me. Why? Well that’s a question with far more details that ever could be spoken. No doubt that men have been the ones who have created the streak of fear in every one’s heart. Nights were unsafe before, and today, even days are unsafe. Anything can happen anytime. But how does it feel?
This sadistic ruthlessness of similar cases like these have created a negative image for men and has made lives of women even harder. The situation is so twisted and so oblique that every move or any look or any comment or any wink of the eye can be fatal.
The question still is unanswered… that why do these brutalities happen? Why is the government not effectively acting on it? Does the government really care about their citizens? Why are the law enforcements not doing anything?
These questions stay unanswered. And the more the time passes by. The more blood will be spilt.
So take a stand now and help answer these unanswered questions. This needs to be stopped. The line must be drawn now.
